Life in a Blackhole

I do not imagine it being impossible for life to form within and around a black hole. In my mind I just see the black hole as a larger scale version of earth or any other celestial body that creates gravity. The earth could be seen as a volatile and violent place to an alien life form just as we view Jupiter or Saturn as inhospitable. Perhaps we just cannot imagine what a life form that exists on the sun may look or function like.

The main reason for my assertion is that we as human beings, accept the we are conscious and conscientious due to what we have discovered through neurology and biology. The main reason for our consciousness and self-awareness is located somewhere in our brain, right? Every thought you have or idea you conjure has a physical representation in the universe because you ARE the universe. You are as much a part of the universe as the sun, atoms, galaxies, quantum particles, and dark matter. You are the universe becoming aware of itself.

So when I say that life could possibly form and flourish in a black hole, I am coming from the angle that those types of life forms may be undetectable to us in ways that would show us that they are indeed alive. The matter that constitutes your brain makeup and consciousness, is everywhere in the universe and may be able to evolve, adapt, and come together in unimaginable ways on the edges of black holes.

At some points in the black hole, I imagine there being areas that are relatively calmer than other regions. It is in these regions where hyper-dense life forms could possibly emerge. It may not be anything like life we see here, but maybe it's a huge amalgamation of stardust and particle "sludge" within the black hole that has grey/white matter particles in it. These particles could in theory, become aware of the violent storm they live in and collect resources from the surrounding environment like early life forms did during early earth.

If we consider the stuff I just said, then perhaps the gods and deities of yesteryear are just black holes that collect information about the universe. Think about it. Nothing can escape a black hole, theoretically, so that means they are massive dumps of information that could potentially be back-traced using the laws of the physical world. Black holes have been around for a long part of the universe's history and have been amassing data the whole time. It isn't impossible for some sort of entity to learn things about the universe with all that data over a long period of time.

Future Sight?

Would it be crazy to believe that the future iteration of yourself relative to our current "present" moment can influence your life based on it's own self interests? If you buy into the idea that consciousness is basis of reality, then it may not be that crazy. :P

I think that the past, present, and future are more or less predetermined and are always existing simultaneously. I do not think this quite negates the idea of free will, but I believe that the insane amount of predictability exhibited by science so far means that at some time in the future we will may be able to predict what happens as subatomic particles and quantum fluctuations interact with our brains and our consciousness.

Perhaps a future version of yourself (from an ethereal viewpoint) can can't quite manipulate you in to doing a specific action, but perhaps could tug on your brain/consciousness material using quantum entanglement so that you sleep better or get up to eat at a certain time.

Like I said, I believe the past, present, and future are all happening now. An action taking place in the future will have an effect on our now. This probably doesn't make sense, but I need to just keep putting my stuff out there haha.

Pokemon GO isn't a real game, give Niantic some slack

Pokemon GO isn't a real game and people need to stop acting like it is or is supposed to be. Niantic probably knows this better than all of us. Pokemon Go is an experience that affects the real world and thus cannot be treated like a traditional game.

People like to knock Niantic for not communicating well with the user base, but in my eyes, I've always assumed this tactic was to make it as real world as possible. For instance, in a real Pokemon world, there wouldn't be some big organization telling you about Pokemon spawn rates or when certain kinds of new or legendary Pokemon may appear or when there is double stardust.

The in-app assets are all you have and that's it. It's essentially your Pokedex with limited communication between your team leader and the Prof and stats about your Pokemon and your journey. Those elements could definitely be beefed up on Niantic's side. I would like announcements to come from within the app in a timely matter, rather than hear about it from Niantic through Twitter or whatever.

Y'feeling me?

Maybe this is not how Niantic actually approaches this situation, but that's why I like the game still. I want them to be separate from the game so it feels more real. For example, instead of telling us directly that we need to do this recent Global Travel challenge (as of Nov 27, 2017) through Youtube ads and Tweets, maybe the Prof in the game says something like, "I hear that if trainers around the world catch 500 million pokemon, then something cool will happen around the world! and maybe even cooler things to follow!" This would get us real world trainers murmuring and we'd figure it out among ourselves.

And since we always "win" these silly challenges it would just make sense to remove the time limit and just make it goal focused for however long it takes. Then after the first challenge is met, we're given a new goal (1.5 billion caught Pokemon), and after that we are told in the app that the next goal is 3 billion. After we get it, then the Prof would say something like, "Oh my! It looks like Farfetche'd is being seen in new territories around the world for the next 2 days! See if you can catch one yourself before they return to their native land!"

You know all of the Pokemon Go forums and Tubers would consolidate the information for us and it would be lit. I like real world buzz and commotion for this game. It feels like when I played Pokemon Red and someone would tell me a new secret about the game.

And another reason we should give Niantic some slack is because there are hackers out there who data mine the updated app and ruin all the surprises that Niantic has in store for us. Granted, it is my own fault for spoiling myself and we know Niantic's in-game communication could be better/revamped, but a game of this magnitude has never existed before. Niantic needs to be careful and not bow to the whims of people who are fans of other Pokemon titles.

Nothing does not exist...

So I've come across a lot of science-y stuff saying that there was nothing before the Big Bang or that the universe arose from nothing.

I am against this conclusion because it does not make any sense. If a universe can arise from "nothing" then that means there already existed parameters for such a thing to happen. Those parameters would have had to exist in the "nothingness" people claim to have been before the Big Bang happened, which is contradictory, and can only mean one thing.

There was no beginning. Things just have always been around. This conclusion makes way more sense. It cannot be very hard to imagine that everything everywhere has always existed and will exist forever in the states, forms, and stages it goes through. If infinity exists then there is probably a negative infinity. Hmm, but now as I am typing this, I ask, what about the concept of zero...?

I gotta sit on that thought, but for now, RIP Stephen Hawking, you were a cool guy, but I think you may be wrong on this topic :P

Do you own yourself?

Is your consciousness YOUR consciousness wholly and exclusively? Is the arrangement of particles you call you exclusive to only you during this life time? Your brain, consciousness, and thoughts are only one specific orientation of micro particles.

So, in your head, if you imagine a rabbit... That instantaneous state of physicality of "you" could be represented elsewhere. Some would posit that it is only a copy running around with your memories... But what if it is still YOU and you somehow feel and experience both of you simultaneously?

The idea may seem crazy, but so is the nature consciousness. Who's to say that the fundamental particles like quarks and gluons (and whatever else makes up all things) that make up your brain and your persona aren't working in a similar way all around you?

With this notion, I posit that it is not absurd to look at a rock, airplane, air, or other inanimate object as possibly being conscious from a different perspective.

If we compare ourselves to the micro world of physics and then scale back further to macro sized objects like galaxies and black holes, it cannot be hard to imagine that we are atom or electron sized to potentially universally sized beings who see us like we see ants and bacteria.

If a small human living on this small planet can evolve to a point where the ingredients for life are tucked away in our little brains, why can't that happen on larger (galaxies) or smaller (quantum) scale?

The entirety of the universe as we know it is quantum. All a person is is a big clump of quantum fluctuations in space-time and this includes your thoughts and sense of self. It is not unreasonable for quantum actions to give rise to what we understand to be consciousness because we ourselves are an example of random particles arranged in a certain way that are conscious.

Legal Disarmament - Troll Scroll with Trollah: Volume Zero

Some people might have you believe that we need to rid US citizens of their arms to prevent bad things from happening, and let the government run the show. I do not bear arms, but I hope my fellow citizens are never forced to give up their rights until the US government is also completely unarmed. Letting the government be the only faction to bear arms the first step towards losing ALL our rights.

We may be in peaceful times right now, but any election cycle could give rise to the next charismatic psychopath who can persuade people to do bad things we could never imagine.

Do not be naive. Know that you and your citizens have the right to bear arms in the event that your government starts getting ideas. If you legally disarm a country's citizens, then the only people with the weapons will be criminals and the government and I don't trust either of those two entities to uphold their morals for our benefit. Not yet at least, I am optimistic about the future.

Mammals in circuses and aquariums around the world suffer from neglect and severely limited living environments. In places like Sea World, whales and dolphins are kept in enclosures not near large enough for them to be happy and naturally existing. These intelligent beings are kept from evolving as nature intended and are subjects to our whims and research or entertainment.

Sea World has taken a few hits in their public relations with the release of the documentary called Blackfish, but there is still work to be done and my campaign aims to illuminate the dark and incomplete lives of these creatures we share the planet with. Circus shows are also notorious for abusing animals in order to make them perform pointless tricks all for some cash.

Other species are just as capable as us to love and feel depressed and it is not our right to claim their lives for the entertainment of ours. Dolphins and whales are known to communicate with each other and form bonds and friendships on a near human level. They can also form bonds with people. This shows that they should not be captured and made to perform for our amusement. Pigs, cows, chickens, and other farm animals are being grown artificially and “efficiently” and these animals suffer terrible living conditions as well. Zoo’s and circuses aim to show us people a good time, but behind the scenes, these animals thrive for something more, but they can never know because they were born into slavery.

My series of posters aims to ignite a campaign that will push an agenda forward that makes people more aware of the inhumane treatment and embarrassment of our species as we sit idle and let this cruelty take place.

This "Cool or Cruel?" is typographic and graphic experimentation project dealing with the topic of animal cruelty. I did not want the message to be commanding or demeaning in anyway, but I want the viewer to think about the question to themselves and even possible discuss the subject with other people.

I may do future posters featuring other animals based on the same principle design choices so that it grows into a collection.

Zü Blog: Volume Zero

MeleeDebutAsset 1.png

My name is Zuma and I am finally starting my second life tonight with this blog entry. Zü Blog will serve as a place for the seemingly random musings and stream of consciousness coming from an average dude from Irving, TX, with nowhere to go, but forward!

I am a graphic designer and I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in Spring 2017. I have spent a good portion of my life studying and practicing various techniques in art and design so that one day, I can have my works and projects make money for me while I travel the world!

My ultimate dream is to create and develop a brand identity similar to that of Disney, Warner Bros, and Nintendo. These companies all have designed and marketed unique characters and worlds and universes for said characters to reside in to an extent where if you see them on any merchandise, chances are that you'll recognize them and the creator behind it. This is my goal; to one day own a set of characters that can be slapped on a t-shirt or lunchbox and sell a good amount simply because the character is so robust and present on the grand stage.

I have a flurry of characters that are gearing up for their public debuts, so stay tuned!
